It has been a whirlwind of activity around here since Easter. Today is my first full day at home in quite a while. I am enjoying catching up on things, cleaning up, organizing and refocusing.
Since my book is published and taking care of itself, so to speak, I thought I would share some things I'm doing that I just love! After all, this IS a wellness blog. :)
One of the things I love to do is experiment and blend essential oils. Recently, however, I was introduced to the word of herbs. They can be such a wonderful source of healing and are provided for us by God :)
Today, I made "green salve" from an organic mix that I purchased through the Bulk Herb Store. It contains plantain leaf, calendula flower, comfrey leaf, yarrow flower, rosemary leaf, echinacea leaf and root. It's an all purpose salve (can also be made into a soothing massage oil) generally used for bites, rashes, cuts, dry skin, muscle soreness, and it can also be used on the face. I made a batch of it a couple of months ago and gave most of it away. Everyone loves it!
I also made a tooth powder from a recipe I found on the Bulk Herb Store website. Additionally, I have been "brewing" my Double-E Immune Booster for 6 weeks and it was finally ready to be strained and bottled last week. I have been using it regularly because of the frenetic pace I have been keeping and in preparation for my upcoming shoulder surgery on 5/14. It seems to be doing the job and it hasn't upset my stomach at all - by which I am pleasantly surprised.
Thanks for checking in.
Live Well. Be Well. Love abundantly.
